Home for the Holidays

“At Christmas, all roads lead home.” – Marjorie Holmes

Hi Everyone,

December or thereabouts is a time for celebrating! Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Eid Al-Fitr all fall ‘round about December time. Regardless of your celebratory bent, I find one strong element binds us all at this time of year…HOME!

Like many of you, I’ve lived and traveled widely since my days at Meredith.   Each place I’ve lived in or traveled to has totally changed my perspective on life and people and my place in the world. While I’ve craved new adventures and  surroundings and experiences, I’ve always been comforted by the fact that wherever I go, I can always come home.

The word home takes on different meanings for each of us;  for some, it’s the physical embodiment of our childhood days and precious family and friends, for others, it may be a state of mind. It gives us comfort to think of  “home” as a place we can go without fear or rejection or want;  a place where we will be fulfilled and cared for as we bring passion to it and keep it alive.  Such is our Meredith home. Here, we find a sense of belonging and cherished memories;  blending the past with the present while we dream of the future and what it may become.

And just as you would give a meaningful gift to a family member or friend, remember to give something to Meredith;  be it your time, experience or treasure. Our Meredith home is always welcoming to us at this poignant time of year as it is during all other days.

Happy Holidays!
